These are from the Game Bird Series issued by the Imperial Tobacco Company of Canada — a "Series of 30" tucked into cigarette packs in the 1920s, each card a rich colour lithograph with a gold border and a natural-history write-up on the back. This lot has 11 different birds, from the everyday Cardinal and Bluebird to the exotic Giant Toucan and the Red Bird of Paradise. The colours are still vivid a century later. A great starter group for a tobacco-card collector, or frame-worthy bird art for a nature lover.

Details
Brand: Imperial Tobacco Company of Canada Limited
Series: Game Bird Series — Series of 30 (this lot is 11 of the 30)
Age/Era: 1920s (c. 1924 issue)
Measurements: 1.5 x 2.75 inches each
Materials: Printed card stock, colour lithograph fronts, green printed backs
Cards included (front name / card number):
Cock of the Rock — No. 21
King Fisher (Kingfishers) — No. 2
Red Bird of Paradise (Birds of Paradise) — No. 27
Blue Grosbeak — No. 5
Elegant Pitta — No. 26
Giant Toucan (Toucans) — No. 1
Vermilion Flycatcher — No. 15
Oriole (The Baltimore Oriole) — No. 10
Cardinal — No. 8
Bluebird — No. 3
Bob White (The Quail) — No. 16
Quantity: 11 cards, all different, no duplicates
Completeness: Partial group — 11 of the 30-card series
Functionality: Collectible paper ephemera; decorative
Included: 11 x Imperial Tobacco Game Bird Series cards as listed above

Condition
Honest antique condition, sold as pictured.
