The 1928 marking should not be taken as the exact manufacture date of the can, but it helps establish the early style of the container.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe heavy paint loss, surface rust, worn label and industrial wear give this piece exactly the kind of authentic patina many petroliana collectors look for.
