1956 “The Mountain” Original Paramount Movie Lobby Cards – Spencer Tracy & Robert Wagner – 14" x 11"

Excellent group of original 1956 theatrical lobby cards from The Mountain, the Paramount Pictures adventure drama starring Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner, with Claire Trevor.

These are genuine period movie-theatre advertising pieces, not later reproductions. The cards are marked Copyright 1956 Paramount Pictures Corporation and carry the National Screen Service number 56/257.

The dramatic alpine imagery is particularly appealing, with one card featuring a mountaineering scene and the others showing Spencer Tracy and Robert Wagner. The bold red The Mountain title, blue cast lettering and vintage Technicolor/VistaVision graphics give these terrific mid-century movie-poster appeal.

A strong collectible group for fans of Spencer Tracy, Robert Wagner, classic Hollywood, mountaineering memorabilia and original theatrical advertising.

Condition

Fair to good vintage condition for nearly 70-year-old theatrical advertising.

These cards clearly show genuine age and use, including toning/discolouration, edge and corner wear, creasing, surface marks and soiling. At least one card has old tape residue/tape near the upper edge, and there are small edge tears and other handling wear visible.

Despite the wear, the printed colours remain attractive and the major images, titles and cast information display well.

Please review the photographs carefully, as they provide the best representation of individual condition.
