1956 White Rose Ontario Road Map – Canadian Oil Companies Service Station Map – Southern & Northern Ontario, City Insets – Rolph-Clark-Stone

A free-with-a-fill-up survivor from the White Rose stations. This 1956 Ontario road map was handed out by Canadian Oil Companies, Limited under its White Rose brand — "Invitation to See Ontario with White Rose," "The pick of them ALL!" and "Happy Motoring" on the cover, with an Ultra Motor Oil can on the back. One side is Southern Ontario, the other Northern Ontario, with street-map insets for Toronto, London, Windsor, Niagara Falls, Kingston, Ottawa and Hamilton, plus a mileage table and place index. White Rose vanished from Canadian roads decades ago, and its paper is pure petroliana now — great framed for a garage, or for the Ontario expat who learned to drive with one of these in the glove box.
