A very cool and unusual 1993 ERTL / Scale Models 1930 Lockable Freight Truck Coin Bank, produced for Competition Motorcycles, Inc. and featuring the legendary 1915 Cyclone board-track racing motorcycle.

The side of the truck is decorated with the artwork “The 1915 Cyclone Is Here”, while the packaging explains the connection to one of the most desirable early American racing motorcycles ever built.

According to the original box, Competition Motorcycles acquired the featured 1915 Cyclone from the estate of actor and motorcycle collector Steve McQueen in November 1984. The packaging notes that the Cyclone was an advanced board-track racer capable of speeds exceeding 90 mph.

This bank was issued as part of a limited edition of only 2,500 pieces, making it substantially more interesting than a standard promotional ERTL truck bank.

The model remains with its original box and protective wrapping, and the box even retains an old $29.95 sale sticker.
