A nice piece of Saskatchewan agricultural and publishing history, commemorating 70 years of The Western Producer.
This silver-tone souvenir spoon was produced for the newspaper’s 70th anniversary, 1923–1993. The decorative top reads “70 Years of Service – The Western Producer – 70 Years – 1923–1993.”
The date is historically significant: Saskatchewan library records show that The Western Producer published special material in 1993 marking 70 years serving farm families, including a major anniversary edition in August of that year.
A great small collectible for anyone interested in Saskatchewan history, Prairie agriculture, farm memorabilia or Western Producer history.
