2009 Guinness 250th Anniversary Limited Edition Glass Tankard – No. 13740 of 25,000

A substantial Guinness 250th Anniversary commemorative glass tankard, issued in 2009 to celebrate 250 years since Arthur Guinness established the brewery in 1759.

The heavy clear glass mug features a raised antique-gold style Guinness anniversary badge on the front reading “Celebrating 250 Years – Guinness Anniversary – Estd 1759.”

What makes this example especially nice is the original numbered metal hang tag still attached to the handle. It is marked Limited Edition No. 13740 / 25000, confirming this was one of only 25,000 produced.

At approximately 6 inches tall x 4.25 inches wide, it makes a strong display piece for a Guinness, breweriana, pub or advertising collection. Guinness marked its 250th anniversary globally in 2009, including special anniversary merchandise and glassware. Marketing Week
