Antique Aladdin Model No. 6 Nickel-Plated Kerosene Mantle Lamp – Chicago – Circa 1914–1917

A beautiful early Aladdin Model No. 6 kerosene mantle lamp made by The Mantle Lamp Company of America, Chicago, Illinois.

This example features a bright nickel-plated metal font and pedestal base, decorative pierced gallery, original-style burner assembly and tall clear glass chimney. The burner badge is clearly marked “Aladdin Model No. 6.”

The Model 6 dates to approximately 1914–1917, making this lamp more than 100 years old.

It has an excellent early industrial/farmhouse appearance and would make a strong display piece for an Aladdin collector, vintage lighting collection or period home décor setting.

Condition

Good antique condition for its age.

The nickel-plated surface retains a very attractive shine but shows spotting, oxidation, tarnish and surface wear consistent with a lamp over 100 years old. The burner and gallery also show age-related discoloration and wear.

The glass chimney appears intact in the supplied photos with no obvious major chips or cracks visible.

Untested. Sold as an antique collectible/display piece. Any antique kerosene lamp should be properly inspected before attempting to use it.
