Antique Schrader-Universal Tire Pressure Gauge with Original Leather Case

Early Schrader-Universal tire pressure gauge manufactured by A. Schrader’s Son, Inc. and accompanied by its original stitched leather protective case.

The brass-bodied gauge is clearly marked “Schrader-Universal Tire-Pressure-Gauge” and shows Canadian manufacturing/patent markings. Schrader was advertising its Universal tire pressure gauges in Canada by the mid-1910s, making this a genuine early automotive accessory rather than a later reproduction.

A great piece of early motoring history for an automotive tool, garage, service-station or automobilia collection.

Condition

Good antique collectible condition.

The gauge has substantial age-related patina, tarnish, scratches and surface wear consistent with its age. Lettering remains largely readable.

The original leather case is heavily worn with cracking, scuffing, edge wear and deterioration to the stitching, but its survival adds considerably to the display appeal.

Gauge has not been tested for accuracy or function and is being sold primarily as a collectible.
