A charming piece of early Disney history, this Donald Duck Game Vol. 1 was produced by the Russell Manufacturing Company of Leicester, Massachusetts.

The miniature book-style cardboard box features colourful Donald Duck artwork on the front and spine. Inside are 40 verified and individually counted illustrated cards featuring classic Disney characters, including Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, the Three Little Pigs and others.

This collectible game was part of the Mickey Mouse Library of Games, a series of six miniature Disney card games produced during the late 1940s.

Condition

Fair vintage condition with noticeable age-related wear.

The cardboard box shows softened and worn edges, creasing, surface rubbing, corner wear and separation along portions of the bottom edge. Despite the wear, the colourful Donald Duck artwork remains bright and recognizable.

The 40 cards show age-related toning, edge wear, rounded corners and handling marks. The set is being sold exactly as photographed, with 40 cards and no instructions.
