Description
An impressive archive of more than 80 original cancelled bank cheques connected to businesses, organizations and residents of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Dating primarily from 1945 and 1946, the cheques were issued through The Bank of Nova Scotia’s West Side Branch and appear to originate from Saskatoon Glass Co. Ltd. Many cheques retain their original three-cent Canadian excise stamps in several colours. Handwritten names, signatures, payment amounts, bank stamps and bold cancellation markings give every document its own historical character.
