Great lot of three vintage Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics tribute posters, each produced as part of Alberta’s tribute to athletes of the world.

The group includes three different designs celebrating memorable athletes and performances from the XV Olympic Winter Games in Calgary, Alberta.

Included in the lot:

• Karen Percy – Canada
  “Oh, Canada!” design celebrating Percy’s second bronze medal before her hometown crowd on February 22, 1988.
• Brian Boitano – United States
  “The Stars and Stripes Forever” design celebrating Boitano’s gold medal in men’s figure skating on February 20, 1988.
• Yan Li – China
  “Like a dragon in flight” design celebrating two bronze medals for China in ladies’ demonstration short track speed skating on February 22 and 23, 1988.

These bold graphic posters have excellent period colour and strong 1980s Olympic design appeal. They would make a great display set for a sports room, office, den, Olympic collection, or Canadian memorabilia collection.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall.

The posters show some light age-related handling wear, small surface marks, minor edge wear and slight waviness/creasing in places. Colours remain bright and the graphics display very well.

They are unframed.
