Lot of 3 Double-Sided Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics Petro-Canada Torch Relay Posters

Excellent lot of three double-sided Calgary 1988 Winter Olympics Olympic Torch Relay posters, produced for the XV Olympic Winter Games and sponsored/organized by Petro-Canada.

Each poster has the English version on one side and the French version on the reverse, so this is a lot of 3 physical posters total, not six.

The posters feature the campaign slogan “A Memory in the Making” in English and “Un Souvenir Impérissable Se Dessine” in French, with three different illustrated torch relay scenes celebrating Canadians and communities across the country.

The artwork has a strong late-1980s Canadian Olympic look, with torchbearers, Canadian flags, western imagery, mountain scenery, coastal scenes and cheering crowds.

A very nice coordinated set for a Calgary 1988 collector, Canadian Olympic memorabilia collection, Petro-Canada advertising collection, or vintage sports display.

Condition

Good vintage condition overall with visible age and storage wear.

The posters show some edge wear, light creasing, waviness, curl and small surface marks consistent with storage. One has more noticeable wrinkling along the upper edge.

Colours remain bright and the artwork displays very well on both sides.
