“The Gathering” 1883 Old West Framed Photo Print – 17" x 11.25"

An interesting Old West conversation piece known as “The Gathering – Most Unique Picture Ever Taken – 1883.” The image is presented as having been taken at Hunters Hot Springs, Montana and identifies a remarkable group of famous Western figures, including Wyatt Earp, Theodore Roosevelt, Doc Holliday, Morgan Earp, Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, Bat Masterson and Judge Roy Bean.

The authenticity of the gathering has long been debated, so this should be sold as a framed reproduction/novelty historical print rather than an original 1883 photograph. Current sellers of the same image also describe the photograph’s authenticity as disputed.
