Vintage 1948 University of Saskatchewan Physical Education Felt Crest Patch

A striking piece of early University of Saskatchewan history dating to 1948.

This large vintage felt crest features the letters “U S,” a winged foot emblem with “PE” for Physical Education, the embroidered date 1948, and a red banner reading “PHYS. ED. S-11.”

Made in traditional green, gold, red and cream felt with embroidered and applied details, it has the classic appearance of an early university athletic or Physical Education award crest. The reverse also retains a vintage Saskatoon, Sask. maker/retailer stamp.

At approximately 78 years old, this is an eye-catching Saskatchewan university collectible that would display beautifully framed.

Condition

Very good vintage condition for its age. Colours remain strong and the lettering and embroidery display extremely well. Minor age-related wear, light surface soiling and discoloration are visible, particularly on the reverse. No major damage is apparent in the supplied photos.
