Vintage 1964 Schweppes Wooden 24-Bottle Crate – Regina, Saskatchewan

A fantastic piece of Saskatchewan advertising history with loads of authentic character. This original wooden Schweppes beverage crate features large black Schweppes branding, built-in carrying handles and “24 BOTTLES” lettering.

What makes this example especially interesting is the original interior stamping for G. & J. Watt Co. Ltd., Regina, Sask., along with a clear 5/64 date marking, indicating May 1964.

The aged unfinished wood, original lettering, nail construction, stains and decades of wear give it exactly the rustic appearance collectors and vintage decorators look for. A great display piece on its own, or repurpose it for blankets, magazines, records, plants or vintage-shop décor.

Condition

Good authentic vintage condition with substantial age-related wear, staining, scratches, dark marks, edge wear and weathering throughout. There are gaps between some of the bottom boards and general wear consistent with decades of commercial use. Original graphics remain very readable.
