Vintage Airguide Mid-Century Wall Barometer & Thermometer – Chicago USA – 15"

A very attractive vintage Airguide wall weather station combining an aneroid barometer and thermometer in a classic mid-century wood-and-brass design.

The round lower dial is marked “Airguide Barometer” and “Made in U.S.A. by Airguide Instrument Company Chicago.” The face features traditional weather indicators including Stormy, Rain, Change, Fair and Very Dry, while the upper wooden section carries the thermometer scale.

The dial also shows U.S. patent information and Canada RD 1956, placing the design firmly in the mid-century period. Similar Airguide wall barometer/thermometer combinations are commonly associated with the 1950s–1960s. Airguide Instrument Company was a Chicago manufacturer known for weather instruments, compasses, binoculars and other precision outdoor instruments during the mid-20th century.

This one has the clean, sculptural look that works especially well in a mid-century modern, study, office, cabin or vintage home décor setting.
