Vintage Canadian Aladdin Aluminum Workman’s Lunch Box

Description

A rugged piece of Canadian working history, this vintage Aladdin aluminum lunch box has the classic industrial design once carried to job sites, workshops and factories.

The box features a riveted aluminum body, peaked lid, brown carrying handle and two front latches. Inside the lid is a hinged metal bracket designed to hold a beverage container or thermos.

Made in Orangeville, Ontario by G.H. Curry Manufacturing Ltd., it would make a distinctive display piece for a workshop, office, vintage kitchen or Canadian industrial collection.

Condition

Vintage used condition with scratches, scuffs, oxidation, discolouration and small dents consistent with age and regular use.

The handle shows considerable surface wear and ageing. The interior has staining and residue, and there is wear around the hinges, rivets and edges. Both front latches are present, and the box opens and closes.
