Vintage Chevrolet Official Song Book – Chevrolet Motor Company of Canada – Oshawa Ontario

A wonderful piece of early Canadian Chevrolet advertising memorabilia, this original Chevrolet Official Song Book was issued by the Chevrolet Motor Company of Canada, Limited, Oshawa, Ontario.

The booklet contains 28 songs, including familiar favourites such as Auld Lang Syne, O Canada, My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean, Let Me Call You Sweetheart, School Days and God Save the King, along with Chevrolet-themed material including “They Bought Another Chevrolet.”

The presence of “God Save the King” and the early Chevrolet branding strongly point to a pre-1952 publication, and the printer code shown on the back appears consistent with an early 20th-century issue. I would describe this conservatively as circa late 1920s to 1930s rather than assigning an exact year without stronger documentation.

A terrific collectible for enthusiasts of Chevrolet, General Motors, Canadian automotive history, vintage advertising and early dealership memorabilia.

Condition

Good antique/vintage condition considering the age and fragile paper construction.

There is overall yellowing, toning, creasing, edge wear, corner folds and small tears, particularly around the outer edges and corners. The booklet remains readable and appears complete through page 12 based on the photographs.

The front cover graphics remain clear and attractive.
