Vintage Country Inn Fruit Cake Tin – Olive Can Co. Chicago – 8.25" Square

Vintage Country Inn Fruit Cake metal tin made by Olive Can Co. of Chicago, featuring colourful mid-century advertising graphics and the slogan “The Sign of Good Taste.”

The lid has a classic roadside-inn style hanging sign surrounded by decorative floral artwork in red, cream, green and grey. The underside is stamped “Olive Can Chicago.” This is a nice piece of vintage food-packaging advertising with strong display appeal.

Condition

Good vintage display condition with visible age-related wear.

There are scratches, scuffs, edge wear, small areas of paint loss and general surface marks. The interior and underside of the lid show additional scratching, staining and some oxidation/rust spots.
