Vintage Davidson B-A Service Advertising Mirror – Ashley Stewart – Davidson, Saskatchewan – 8" × 3.5"

A very cool piece of Saskatchewan service-station advertising from Davidson B-A Service in Davidson, Saskatchewan.

This rectangular mirror carries the wording:

“Care Prevents Accidents
DAVIDSON B-A SERVICE
Ashley Stewart
Phone 235 – Davidson, Sask.”

The right side features a colourful pin-up style service-station girl, while the mirror is bordered with pink striping and mounted in a textured silver-tone metal backing.

B-A stood for British American Oil, one of Canada’s major early petroleum companies. Gulf gained control of B-A in the 1950s, and the familiar B-A branding disappeared from Canadian service stations by the late 1960s, helping place advertising pieces like this firmly in the vintage petroliana era.
