Vintage Elite Metal Products 1-Gallon Legal for Trade Oil Pitcher

A great piece of Canadian industrial and service-station history. This vintage metal oil measuring pitcher was made by Elite Metal Products of Winnipeg, Manitoba and is stamped “LEGAL FOR TRADE.”

The large rolled handle and wide pouring spout give it that unmistakable old garage/service-station look. Today it would make an excellent display piece for a vintage kitchen, workshop, garage-themed collection, or industrial décor setup.

Elite Metal Products Ltd. was operating in Winnipeg by at least the mid-1950s, appearing in Canadian government manufacturing directories in 1956 and 1958. The exact production date of this particular pitcher is unknown.

Condition

Good vintage used condition with plenty of authentic character. There are scratches, staining, oxidation, surface wear and age-related discolouration throughout. Interior also shows wear from previous use. No attempt has been made to polish away the original patina. Please review photos closely for condition.
