Vintage GSW Beacon Wind Proof Kerosene Lantern – Made in Canada – Original Glass

Classic Canadian-made Beacon kerosene lantern by General Steel Wares (GSW), featuring the traditional cold-blast lantern design, embossed metal body and clear glass globe.

The upper housing is embossed BEACON, while the base carries GSW QUALITY and GUARANTEED WIND PROOF markings. The glass globe is also embossed MADE IN CANADA.

GSW was a major Canadian manufacturer, and comparable Beacon lanterns are generally dated from roughly the 1930s through 1950s.

This is a great piece of Canadian farm, railway, camping or cabin history and displays very well.

Condition

Good vintage condition with age-related wear, dust, oxidation, surface marks and finish wear throughout.

The glass appears intact in the photos with no obvious major cracks or missing sections. The wick is present.

Lantern has not been fuel-filled or tested for operation and is being sold as a vintage collectible/decorative item.
