Vintage Hires Root Beer Stoneware Advertising Mug – 5.5"

A great old piece of soda advertising featuring the classic Hires Root Beer name and the slogan “Drink Hires – It Is Pure.”

This tall cream-coloured stoneware mug has a slightly flared shape, substantial handle and deep burgundy advertising graphic. Pieces like this make great display items alongside vintage bottles, signs and other soda advertising.

Condition

Fair vintage condition. There is a visible crack running down from the upper rim, along with overall crazing to the glaze and age-related marks and wear. The Hires advertising graphic remains attractive and displays well.

Because of the crack, I would consider this primarily a display/collector piece rather than a drinking mug.
