Vintage HOPPE Genuine Oak & Brass 18" Spirit Level – Made in Germany

Description

A handsome vintage HOPPE carpenter’s spirit level, made in Germany and constructed from genuine oak with brass fittings. At 18 inches long, this is a substantial old workshop tool with plenty of authentic character.

The original HOPPE maker’s mark, “Made in Germany” marking and “GENUINE OAK” stamp are still visible. HOPPE levels of this style are documented in Canadian listings as German-made oak-and-brass tools, including another 18-inch example.

With its aged oak, brass hardware and honest workshop wear, it would display beautifully with an antique tool collection or as rustic industrial décor.

Condition

Good vintage condition with considerable authentic age and use-related wear. The oak shows scratches, scuffs, staining, small marks and areas of finish wear. Brass components have developed age-related patina, and the original HOPPE label is partially worn.

The level presents very well as an original vintage tool. Accuracy/calibration has not been tested, so it is being sold as a vintage collectible rather than a precision measuring instrument.
