Vintage Imperial Esso Matchbook Cover Lot of 5 – Saskatchewan Dealers, Eddy Match – Marvelube, Touring Service Backs

Five different Saskatchewan Imperial Esso matchbook covers, all made in Canada by the Eddy Match Co. Three carry the classic smiling Esso attendant under the speech bubble "It's a pleasure to serve you... THANKS A LOT!" with the "Care Saves Wear" Marvelube banner — Bryk's Garage of Endeavour, Melfort Motors of Melfort (Dodge–DeSoto and J. I. Case dealer), and C. D. (Don) Downie, brush cutting and bull-dozing, of Perdue. The fourth is Dyck Motors of Hudson Bay, General Motors Sales & Service, with the bold red-and-blue "Imperial Products — Always Ready to Serve You" design. The fifth is P. L. Lapaire, Imperial Esso Agent and Dealer of Mistatim, with a red Imperial Esso tanker truck and a farm scene under "Petroleum Products for home, farm and industry." Flip them over and most carry the Imperial Oil Touring Service coupon — the mail-in form for a free road map marked with your choice of the most scenic or the shortest route. Condition
Fair to good vintage condition — these are working garage covers with honest wear, sold as collectibles (no matches included). All five dealer names and towns are fully legible. Bryk's Garage is the roughest: heavy soiling, dark staining, a worn striker strip, and black scuffing at the foot. Melfort Motors shows moderate soiling and wear with a worn striker strip. The Dyck Motors cover has the boldest colours of the lot, with wear at the striker strip and light creasing. The Don Downie cover is comparatively clean with light soiling. The Lapaire cover has a vertical crease and fold wear. Several strikers show use; insides are plain with age toning. Please review all photos, front and back, for the exact condition of each cover.
