Vintage Maling Newcastle-on-Tyne Cobalt Blue Floral Oval Dish – England – 10.25"

A beautiful piece of vintage Maling pottery from Newcastle-on-Tyne, England, featuring bold raised floral decoration against a rich cobalt-blue ground.

The oval form, sculpted flowers and deep blue glaze give this piece strong decorative appeal. Maling produced pottery in northeast England for more than two centuries, and cobalt floral wares like this are especially associated with its decorative production.
