Vintage Mattel Hot Wheels Dual-Lane Rod Runner Launcher – 12" × 4.5"

Bring back the excitement of early Hot Wheels racing with this vintage Mattel Dual-Lane Rod Runner launcher.

Finished in classic bright red with cream-coloured launch handles, this mechanical accessory was designed to propel two Hot Wheels cars onto a connected track for side-by-side racing. Its original Hot Wheels Rod Runner and Speed Control graphics remain attached, giving it excellent nostalgic display appeal.

The Dual-Lane Rod Runner was part of Mattel’s early Redline-era track system introduced around 1970.

A fun find for a Hot Wheels collector, vintage toy display or anyone who remembers racing die-cast cars across the living-room floor.

4. Condition

Fair vintage condition.

The launcher shows normal age and play wear, including surface scratches, scuffs, marks, light discolouration and dust in recessed areas. The original decals remain colourful and display well, with some age-related wear.

The Speed Control key or knob appears to be missing from the opening on the side. No track pieces or cars are included.

The internal launching mechanisms have not been fully tested with cars and track, so this item is being sold as an untested vintage collectible.
