Vintage Maytag Fuel Mixing Can with Pour Spout – Multi-Motor Washer Advertising

A fantastic early Maytag advertising collectible from the days when washing machines could be powered by small gasoline engines.

This original Maytag Fuel Mixing Can was designed for preparing the gasoline and Maytag Multi-Motor Oil mixture used in Maytag Multi-Motor washing machines. The blue metal can features the classic Maytag crest and “The Maytag Company – Newton, Iowa, U.S.A.” advertising on the front.

The reverse retains its original Fuel Mixing Can – Maytag Multi-Motor Washer instructions, explaining how to measure Maytag Special Multi-Motor Oil and gasoline directly in the can.

Complete with its metal handle and distinctive built-in measuring/pouring spout, this is a great piece of early appliance, gasoline-engine and Maytag advertising history.

Condition

Authentic vintage condition with considerable age-related wear. Surface rust, oxidation, scratches, paint loss, staining and general grime are present. The printed Maytag panels show wear and staining but remain remarkably readable. Spout and handle are present. No attempt has been made to restore or repaint it. Please review all photos carefully for condition.
