Vintage McColl-Frontenac Red Indian Motor Oil Tin Advertising Panel – Canadian Petroliana

A fantastic piece of early Canadian petroleum advertising featuring the distinctive Red Indian Motor Oil graphics from the McColl-Frontenac Oil Company Limited.

The Red Indian brand was introduced by McColl Brothers in the 1920s, with McColl-Frontenac being formed following the company's 1927 merger with Frontenac Oil Refineries.

This small original-looking advertising panel has excellent red, black and cream graphics and displays the McColl-Frontenac company information along with advertising for Sealed Red Indian Motor Oil, Marathon Blue Gasoline and Red Indian Automotive Greases.

A very attractive piece of Canadian petroliana with genuine age and character.

Condition

Vintage used condition with substantial authentic-looking age-related wear, including scratches, staining, discoloration, surface wear, oxidation and edge wear. The upper edge is bent/rolled and there is a hole through the graphic area. The wear gives this piece a strong untouched vintage appearance.
