Vintage Royal Shield Peanut Butter Tin Label - Campbell Bros. & Wilson Ltd. Winnipeg Manitoba

A bold, graphic Canadian grocery label that was never used. This paper tin label for Royal Shield Peanut Butter was packed for Campbell Bros. & Wilson Ltd. of Winnipeg, Manitoba - Royal Shield was that firm's house brand, and the shield trademark sits right on the label. The design is pure shelf appeal: deep navy background, a cluster of peanuts in the shell, and huge cream lettering across a red band. Unused labels like this survive in tiny numbers compared to the tins themselves, and this one frames up into a great piece of Canadiana kitchen art.
