A charming vintage Canadian souvenir plate featuring a mounted Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer posed against a scenic mountain and evergreen landscape.

The centre artwork is captioned “The Mountie – Canada’s Pride R.C.M.P.” The cream-coloured plate has a gently scalloped square shape, fine gold-coloured trim and an aged crackle-glaze appearance that adds authentic vintage character.

Made in England by Royal Winton Grimwades, this small display plate would be a wonderful addition to a Canadian souvenir collection, RCMP memorabilia display or nostalgic gallery wall. Royal Winton was an English ceramics brand produced by Grimwades Limited.

Condition

Good vintage display condition with noticeable age-related crazing throughout the glaze.

There is wear and fading to portions of the gold-coloured trim, along with light staining, surface marks and small areas of discolouration. No obvious major chip or crack is visible in the supplied photographs.

Because of its age, crazing and unknown previous use, it is recommended as a decorative collectible rather than for serving food.
