Vintage Saskatchewan Canadian Butter 56 lb Wooden Shipping Crate – 13.25" × 13.5" × 11.5"

A terrific piece of Saskatchewan dairy and agricultural history. This original wooden shipping crate was made to transport 56 lbs. net of Canadian butter and features bold black “CANADIAN BUTTER – SASKATCHEWAN” graphics with maple leaf emblems on the front.

The crate has traditional finger-jointed/dovetailed corner construction, solid wood boards and the open-top form typical of commercial butter boxes. The large Saskatchewan markings make this one especially appealing for prairie collectors, farmhouse décor, country kitchens or vintage advertising displays.

These also make excellent functional storage pieces for magazines, records, blankets, kindling or other household items.

Condition

Good vintage condition with authentic wear from commercial use and age. There are scratches, small stains, marks, edge wear and general surface patina throughout. The front graphics remain strong, dark and highly readable, which is a major plus for display. Interior shows expected staining and use. Structure appears solid from the photographs. No lid is present.
