Vintage Standard Anti-Freeze & Coolant Tin – Canadian – Bilingual Label – 9" x 7"

Vintage Standard Anti-Freeze and Coolant metal can with bold blue, white and red graphics and the classic Standard “G” logo with car emblem.

The front reads “Permanent Glycol Base Anti-Freeze and Coolant – Chromate Compatible” and the reverse has bilingual English/French instructions, including “Antigel et Liquide d’Été.”

The can was packaged in Canada by Standard Chemical Limited, a subsidiary of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Industries, giving it added appeal for collectors of Canadian automotive, service station and petroleum advertising.

Condition

Good display condition for its age with substantial authentic wear.

There is surface rust and oxidation, especially across the top, bottom rim and seams, along with scratches, staining and general age-related wear to the graphics. Despite the wear, the main front branding remains very readable and visually strong.

The original cap/spout is still present, which is a nice bonus.
