Vintage Swift’s Selected Pork Livers 10 lb Advertising Tin with Lid – 7.5" × 8.25"

A great piece of vintage meat-packing and grocery advertising from Swift & Company. This cylindrical metal tin originally held 10 pounds of Swift’s Selected Pork Livers and features bold red graphics on a pale enamel-style background with decorative scrollwork around the sides.

The original red lid is still present, which adds considerably to its display appeal. The inside has a distinctive pale green finish, and the bottom is stamped “ESTAB. 3E.”

This is the kind of old commercial food container that works very well as kitchen décor, country-store advertising, butcher-shop memorabilia or general vintage storage.

Condition

Good vintage condition with honest commercial-use wear.

There are scattered scratches, scuffs, paint loss, small dents and darkened areas around the rim and seams. The red lid shows edge wear and minor surface marks. Graphics remain strong and very readable, especially the main Swift’s Selected Pork Livers panel.

The interior is quite presentable for its age, with some wear and discoloration around the upper edge. No major structural damage is evident from the photographs.
