A wonderfully nostalgic oversized children’s paint box featuring colourful mid-century artwork of an ocean liner arriving in New York Harbour, complete with the Statue of Liberty, city skyline, aircraft and tugboat.

Opening the hinged tin reveals an illustrated metal palette filled with numerous original, partially used watercolour cakes. Its noticeable wear, paint marks and well-loved appearance give it authentic character and make it an excellent display piece for a creative studio, vintage-inspired room or collection of childhood memorabilia.

Condition

Vintage used condition with considerable age-related wear. The exterior has scratches, scuffs, finish loss, staining, edge wear and small dents. The interior has dried paint residue, marks, discolouration and general wear from use. Paint cakes are used and the set appears incomplete.
