Vintage US Road Map Lot - 20 Maps - State Highway, AAA & Oil Company Maps - 1970s to 1990s

Twenty vintage American road maps sold as one lot — a ready-made glovebox archive. The mix runs three ways: official state highway maps (South Dakota with Mount Rushmore, Montana 1992-93, North Dakota 1993-94, Nebraska 1991-92, and Wyoming's 1993 Oregon Trail 150th anniversary issue); oil company maps, the ones collectors chase (a Humble "Happy Motoring!" Ohio, a Standard Oil Wisconsin from Summer-Fall 1972, and a Sunoco/DX Minnesota 1971-72); and AAA city and state maps (Fargo, Sioux City, Iowa-Nebraska). Three Old West Trail Country pieces, a Utah scenic map, a Southern California All-Year Club sight-seeing map, Tennessee, Corpus Christi, Worthington Minnesota, and an older Colorado Arkansas Valley promotional map round it out. There's a Saskatchewan story in the folds, too — several maps are inscribed by a previous owner, Elsie Kerney of Loreburn, Saskatchewan, and the Corpus Christi map carries a North Battleford Chamber of Commerce stamp: one prairie snowbird's road trips, twenty maps deep.

Condition
Folded road maps in generally good, clean condition with normal fold wear for the era. A few covers carry handwritten previous-owner inscriptions (the AAA Iowa-Nebraska, Fargo and Sioux City maps are inscribed "Elsie Kerney, Loreburn, Sask."), and the Corpus Christi map has a North Battleford, Sask. Chamber of Commerce stamp on the cover — all part of the lot's history and disclosed here. The Colorado Arkansas Valley map shows more age than the rest. Maps are sold folded, as photographed, and have not been unfolded panel by panel for inspection.
