wonderful piece of Saskatchewan history, West of Yesterday is George Shepherd’s firsthand account of pioneer life and the development of Western Canada.

Shepherd became the first curator of Saskatchewan’s Western Development Museum in 1953 and published West of Yesterday in 1965. His background as a homesteader, rancher, historian and museum curator gives this book especially strong Saskatchewan interest.
